We’re Hilltop!

Home of Doggy Day Care

Hilltop is the Scottish Borders’ largest and longest running doggy day care – offering 8 acres of secure freedom & fun, including lush fields, a heated indoor ‘doggy barn’ and a private grassland walk since 2016.

Our fleet of doggy buses serve the entire Central Borders; offering doggy day care to Galashiels, Hawick, Selkirk, Melrose, Tweedbank, St Boswells and surrounding villages.

In addition to doggy day care, we are also proud to offer dog walking, puppy training, socialisation sessions for adult dogs & our ever-popular ‘Run Free’ dog field for hire.

The Hilltop team are experienced and passionate doggy day care supervisors; with qualifications including OfQual, Institute of Modern Dog Trainers, HNC in animal care and canine first aid to name but a few.

We look after your dog like they are an extension of our own families; making each day at Hilltop a fun, safe and rewarding experience for all.

5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“When my dog is at Hilltop I’m able to get ‘me time’ back – a day each week where I can get things done or simply go out for a coffee whilst my dog is having fun with his friends!”

Socialisation, enrichment, exercise and play are the name of the game at Hilltop. Our approach to doggy day care sees our canine companions carefully grouped with one another based on size, energy levels, temperament and ‘play style’; all of which supports positive interactions and encourages life-long friendships to bloom.

Your dog’s happiness and wellbeing is our number one priority – meaning your dog is never left alone or unsupervised. Instead, the day care experience is tailored to the individual needs and preferences of your dog, ensuring they get the most out of every day they spend at Hilltop.

As a Scottish Borders Council-licenced and inspected facility, we are immensely proud to deliver doggy day care to the highest standard. We actively invite prospective customers to organise a tour of Hilltop where we show you what is considered the ‘gold standard’ in doggy day care here in the Scottish Borders.
